the hinged top opening to reveal velvet-lined recesses for sewing implements, above a drawer fitted with a lifting leather-lined writing slide and compartments for inkpot and sander

There are some hairline cracks across the top which can easily be filled or left. The dividers in the writing implement compartments are broken and need fixing. Some old minor restorations and replacements to the veneer which is generally in good order. The right side veneer has suffered more than the rest and would benefit from a more sympathetic restoration. In otherwise good condition.
