An Italian brass-mounted kingwood, tulipwood and parquetry commode, Sicilian mid 18th century

with a later mottled peach, grey and white marble top

Some very minor chips especially along the rear edge of marble top which are hardly noticeable and a few minor areas of red infil. Evidence of old minor worm which appears to be no longer active. The drawer mounts show evidence of regilding and the mounts are slightly dirty and rubbed and would benefit from a clean according to taste. The feet and apron mounts are probably later replacements. Some minor reveneering on the bottom of the rear legs and rear right stile and very minor patches which have been well executed and some minor sections of veneer missing eg the banding around the top drawer and some minor section lifting on left side of bottom drawer. Brass fluting on rightc orner lifting slightly but can easily be reglued. There are a couple of hairline cracks in left side which can easily be filled. In overall good condition.
