Condition
The actual painting is greener and deeper in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has a stiff relining. No major damages are apparent, but the paint surface is a little thin in the greenish tones, although nicely preserved in the figures. The paint surface is under a dirty varnish layer, and has a very dense craquelure pattern. Inspection under UV light reveals a thin repaired scratch in the lower left corner, and minor strengthening in the figures.
Offered in a decorative carved wood frame in good condition. (ML/MW)
