on square black marble base

Condition

In overall good condition with some minor dents, marks and scratches. Few smaller areas of abrasion to his proper right cheek and above his ear. MInor scratches and few minor chips to the base.

This portrait bust of Bernard, Prins der Nederlanden (1911-2004), husband to Queen Juliana and father to Queen Beatrix, has been commissioned by the city of Waddinxveen, province South Holland, in 1971 in order to offer it to its honorary citizen for his 60th birthday.
Prins Bernard received the bust at castle Soestdijk on this occasion.
