24-cm engraved silvered dial signed B Lukaschofský, Wien XVIII, the outer minute ring enclosing subsidiaries for seconds and hours, counter-balanced minute hand, the substantial weight-driven movement with five wheel train and maintaining power, deadbeat escapement with beat adjustment on the crutch, separately suspended wood rod pendulum with calibrated rating nut, the weight caried to the side on a roller, mounted on a massive brass bed plate, the five-light case with carved wood rococo cresting, angled corners applied with similar carved mounts, under-curned base with carved terminal, the panelled backboard inlaid with brass and mother-of-pearl, the interior with four balancing screws
Condition
Dial would benefit from re-silvering. Movement complete but needs a clean. Case generally good but carving would benefit from some re-finishing. With pendulum, brass-cased weight, winder and suspension.
