8-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued trefoil hands, countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended pendulum, ormolu case surmounted by an automaton boy sharpening a lacking knife moving his leg and head driven by a seperate mechanism, on a rockwork ground, base with foliate scrolls on scroll feet, on an ebonized base with a pull wind musical mechanism marked H.MG 27597 playing one of two tunes with a 6-cm cylinder on a one-piece comb with connection to the movement, raised on bun feet, dome lacking

dial in good condition, minute hand replaced (slightly too large), movement able to function and in good condition, case recently cleaned and the gilding intact and of good quality, automaton functioning, base with with a few scratches from normal use and wear, the brass bands starting to let loose a little, dome lacking, together with a pendulum and winder (for the automaton)
