  • 67cm. high
16-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt Breguet hands and blued sweep seconds, substantial movement of three months duration with pinwheel escapement and beat adjustment to the crutch, steel suspended gridiron pendulum with gilt bob, rosewood case with removable moulded stepped top marked on the inside Farret & Cie successors de Laguesse, bronzes dorĂ©s et horloger, Rue Chapon No 23, throughout inlaid with brass banding, slide-up glass panels to the front and back giving access to the inside with gilt beat plaque, moulded base raised on adjustable brass feet

Condition

dial with some hairline cracks near X and II, unidentified holes in the dialplate suggest a replaced dial but the dial might well be the original, good hands in good condition, sweep seconds replaced and loose, high quality movement able to function but might benefit from a clean, good pendulum, case in original dirty condition, some mouldings a little loose, a few chips to the veneer (2 front base, 3 side of the top of the top, 2 small at the front of the top), brass inlay all there apart from two strips at the back base, original and rare table regulator, together with a pendulum, no winder
