Description
- 80cm. high, 93cm. wide, 55cm. deep.
the rectangular top trimmed in brass, inset with hinged and spring-loaded panel covered in green leather, tooled in gold, the top adjustable in height and supported by rods of square cross-section, accommodated inside the front legs, fitted with single drawer covered with sliding writing surface and separate compartment for writing implements, the sides fitted with two retractable surfaces, also covered in green leather and tooled in gold, recessed panels of sides trimmed in brass, the tapering legs inlaid with plain brass panels, on toupie feet and castors, five brass panels detached, one missing, small section of lectern ledge extant
Condition
the brass panels with faded pating six brass panel detached but are there, two missing,one rectangular brass panel detached but piece is there, one brass side strip detached from the top but piece is there, leather surface and top with scratches and stained spots due to ageing, the drawer at the inside with some scratches due to using, small piece of raised carviment of the framing of the brass panels on the legs missing. The table needs restoration for sure but possible to do, most important; it is in original condition.
