Condition
The actual paintings are deeper and more green in tone than the catalogue illustrations suggest. Both paintings have an old relining. No damages are apparent, but small retouchings and strengthening can be seen throughout. Inspection under UV light remains inconclusive due to the dirty varnish layer.
Offered in plain wood frames in good condition.
Flower painting:
The actual painting is less yellow than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has a very stiff relining (wax), and is a little wobbly. Under UV light the paint surface looks substantially restored.
Offered in a decorative gilt plaster and wood frame, in good condition. (MW)
