11.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed à Paris, pierced and engraved hands, flat bottom countwheel bell striking anchor movement, lacking silk suspended pendulum, finely cast and chiseled moulded case, surmounted by a daybed with a classical lady reading, a drapery below revealing putti reforming the art and sciences, the plinth with fine applied classical mounts raised on bun feet
Condition
dial with chips at both winding holes. Hands fine. Movement able to function but very dirty a complete overhaul. Bridge for silk suspension of the pendulum broken (small repair). Case of good quality. Bronze work recently cleaned. Gilding appears to be in tact. Together with a pendulum
