the serpentine-shaped grey marble top above two half and two long drawers, with bombé-shaped sides, on splayed feet, stamped JME and  I*C*ELLAUME

Condition

In overall good restored condition. Minor hairline cracks to the veneer, especially to the sides. The mounts of later date.

Jean-Charles Elleaume, called Ellaume, became master in 1754.

A comparable commode by Ellaume is in the Lambinet Museum, Versailles.
