19.5-cm arched matted brass dial signed Edward Loader London, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, date and strike/silent subsidiaries, foliate sprandels in the arch, foliate pierced blued steel hands, fusee movement with verge escapement and foliate engraved backplate, trip repeating hour striking on a bell, mahogany veneered bell top case, surmounted by a carrying handle and acorn finials on the corners, glazed door with foliate spandrels flanked by caryatid and trailing flower mounts, glass panels on all sides, raised on bracket brass feet

Dial slightly tarnished, date subsidiary restored, movement appears to have the original verge, able to function and in resonable condition, might benefit from cleaning, replaced seatboard, but no reasons to assume the movement is associated to the case, mahogany case dirty, old brass parts tarnished, some mouldings and pieces of veneer with cracks, back and sides now with glass panels, backdoor replaced and the colour of verneer is off with the rest of the case, could be improved, together with a door key and a winder
