Condition
The actual painting is somewhat deeper in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has an old relining (glue). The paint surface is under a dirty varnish layer, but is in very good condition. There's a circular surface scratch to the centre right, but otherwise, no damages are apparent. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the dirty varnish layer, but there are possibly some minor retouchings underneath the varnish. Overall, the painting is in very good condition.
Offered in a plain gilt and green painted wood frame, with a few losses. (ML/MW)
