Description

  • 50cm. high
14.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer calibration for date and inner marking for day and daysign, pierced and engraved gilt hands, blued sweep seconds and calendar hands, substantial flat bottomed movement with pinwheel escapment mounted on the skeletonized back plate, countwheel striking on a bell, sunburst pendulum with beat adjustment to the crutch, ormolu four-glass case with break arch top surmounted by an urn and four berry finials, fluted colomns to the sides, rectangular acanthus moulded base, on bun feet

Condition

The dial in good condition, with minor hairline crack and scratchs. The hands good, only minute hand repaired. Movement able to function and in good condition. Pendulum probably converted from knife edge suspention to steel suspention. Very rare and attractive skeletonised backplate. Case in original but slightly dirty condition. With light rubbing to the gilding. Together with pendulum.
