Both chairs in overall good condition and with the usual wear due to age and use. The red velvet padded armchair with fruitcarved scrolls overall with traces of woodworm, restorations to legs, wear to velvet. The red velvet padded armchair with foliate-carved finials, armrests with later reinforcements, overall traces of wood worm, back stretcher of later date. Each chair with wear to gilding.
