A rare Flemish brass double socket candlestick 15th century

Description

  • the first 32cm. high.
with hexagonal nozzles, the stem with spring mechanism, together with a pair of Flemish brass candlesticks with knopped shafts and pierced sconces above drip pan and bell-shaped base, Gothic, late 16th century, and a Limoges enamelled copper and parcel-gilt hexagonal candlestick, Romanesque, 13th century, later pricket 

Condition

In overall good condition with some minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. Minor wax residue to the pair, one with stem re-attached to the foot. Some wear and smaller losses to the enamels and gilding of the Limoges candlestick. Two corners pierced. The bronze pricket of later date.
