Description

The black and gold silk brocade exterior to a serpentine edge, centring on a rectangular clasp set with calibre-cut onyx and carrĂ©-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a black silk interior with a main compartment and three side pockets, one containing a mirror and another a silk purse, measurements approximately: length 255mm, width 144mm, depth from 20mm to 30mm, signed Cartier, French assay and indistinct maker's marks to clasp, signed Cartier to interior, one onyx deficient.

Condition

Clasp stamped with French assay marks for platinum and indistinct maker's marks. Onyx well matched, diamonds bright and lively. Silk a little worn at tongue and corners, slight discolouration to silk on edges. In good condition.
