SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BRACELET, CHAUMET, 1940s

Description

Centring on a clasp of Odeonesque design set with mixed-cut sapphires accented with circular- and single-cut diamonds, to a wide flexible bracelet, signed Chaumet Paris, length approximately 165mm.

Condition

French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Sapphires dark blue, well matched in colour, diamonds bright and lively. Some heavy scratches to the underside of the bracelet. Some light scratches consistent with wear to the outside of the bracelet. Secure clasp. Bracelet weighing approximately 113 grams. One small spherical detail inset with a diamond deficient, not obvious when worn.
