Description

  • 147cm. high, 180cm. wide, 21cm. deep; 4ft. 10in., 5ft. 11in., 8¼in.
the fluted frieze with a tablet depicting the reclining Dionysus

Condition

Good general condition with some surface and ingrained dirt. The mantelpiece is constructed in sections and has plaster to the joints and surrounding area. There are five repaired chips to the corners around the edge of the shelf. The left hand side of the frieze has some repaired chips surrounding the right urn capital. The tablet has some small chips to the carved bowl. The jambs and the plinths are in good condition with only a few minor old chips.
