Description

  • 74cm. high, 2ft. 5in.
the later 5-inch enamel dial signed Etne. Lenoir A Paris, bell striking Japy movement with outside count wheel and Brocot suspension, sunburst pendulum, the waisted case surmounted by an armillary sphere above term, ribbon-tied and foliate mounts, the trunk with a galzed window above a flared serpentine base, the whole decorated in gilt with chinoiseries

Condition

Later dial with chips to right winding hole and hair cracks betwen V and VI. Movement is complete but much in need of a clean, bell stand and hammer both have poor repairs. The case with loose section to right side of hood, old cracks, repairs, scufs and minor losses throughout, feet lacking, backboard cut to accept later movement and dial, mounts ae rather dirty. With sunburst pendulum but no winder
