A pair of Italian carved walnut demi-lune console tables, probably Emilian late 17th/early 18th century

An attractive lot in good restored condition. Old marks, chips and scratches, pitting and water stains to top as visible from photograph. The battens beneath the top are later. There are some replacements, e.g. to the 'C' scrolls on the top of the stretcher and small brackets at the back of the rear legs. There is a section of veneer towards the rear which is a replacement and there have been some replacements to the marquetry banding on the top. There are also some minor hairline cracks in the top of one, which have been filled in the past, due to insect damage. There is a replacement to the right hand scroll on the rear left foot of one and sections of the frieze to the left and right side which have been replaced. These tables can be put together to form a centre table.
