- Approximately: 209cm. high, 180cm. wide; 6ft. 10in., 5ft. 11in.
woven with a couple and a donkey, and further figure of standing boy with hound and cockerel, and foreground with distant landscape, all flanked by narrow three-sided outer husked stem border with draped canopy and floral swag pendant across the top of the tapestry; now mounted onto a wooden frame support
Condition
Mounted with nails onto a wooden frame support. It is not lined. Recommended that cleaned and lined for future hanging, and Velcro attached. There are old repairs generally. Some discolouration and splits in sky. Circular area of repair to ground top left corner. Silk highlights with repairs, which is commensurate with age. For example small hole in hair of lady. Rewoven repair to skirt of lady. Small areas of old hand repairs to clothing of male and building.
