Description
- 80cm. high, 130cm. wide, 76cm. deep, fully extended 241cm.; 2ft. 7¼in., 4ft. 3in., 2ft. 5¾in., 7ft. 10¾in.

Condition
Old marks, chips, scratches and gouges as visible from photograph. There are construction cracks in the top as visible from photograph which can easily be filled, which show evidence of having been filled in the past. One of the leaves stands slightly proud of the central section of the table. Old minor restorations. The batons beneath the flaps look like later replacements. There are sections chipped off, especially to the blocks above and beneath the columnar legs and the feet. The feet appear to be later. In overall good conserved condition.

This type of table with a double cruciform stretcher known as `croix de Lorraine' is very architectural in form and shows the influence of the second Renaissance in France and can be dated to around 1570-80. Two examples are illustrated by Boccador op. cit., p. 277, figs. 215, and 216. Another example was in the Sammlung Emil Weinberger, Vienna, October 1929, no. 405.
