- including frame: 89cm. high, 107cm. wide; 2ft.10¾in., 3ft.5¾in.
depicting Saint George and the dragon; moulding at base of frame later
Condition
Rare piece. Charming detail. Painting distressed. There are two vertical construction cracks as visible from photograph and other hairline cracks. Sections of the frame appear to be later. There is a section at the top to the left of Saint George's helmet which is a later replacement and has not been painted. There are some losses generally to the wooden carving and also some further replacements.
