A Spanish ivory crucifix, from the worshop of the Monogrammist JAG (active 1607-1632) circa 1618

Overall the condition of the ivory is good. There is wear and dirt consistent with age and handling and there are minor splits and inclusions consistent with material. The arms were carved separately and attached at the shoulders; the fold of the perezonium hanging off the side of Christ was also carved separately. The tongue was carved separately and is loose in the mouth. The end of the proper right foot was reattached, as was the left foot at the ankle.
