A very rare small quarter repeating ormolu mounted turtleshell timepiece, Isaac Lenoir, Lyon, circa 1720

4¼-inch thirteen-piece cartouche enamel dial signed Lenoir A Lyon, with concealed winding behind VI, the similarly signed movement of fifteen days duration with verge escapement and silk suspension, repeating on three vertically mounted bells, the waisted case veneered with brown turtleshell within borders of brass stringing, applied with leaf and flower cast mounts throughout, similarly decorated detachable concave-sided bracket

Dial has hair crack to centre plaque and minor chip to VI. Movement clean and appears to be in running order. Case with some old repairs to the turtleshell but otherwise in good original condition throughout. With pendulum but no winder.
