A gilt-mounted mahogany quarter chiming and musical table clock, English, circa 1790

8-inch dial painted with rural scenes on a cream ground with floral spandrels, silvered chapter rin and subsidiary strike/silent and tune selection rings in the arch, three train fusee movement with seven knopped pillars, verge escapement, quarter chiming and playing one of four tunes on a nest of ten bells, striking on a further bell, trip repeat, foliate engraved backplate, case with bell top and gilt mounts

Dial is dirty, some losses and old restoration to painting, rings would benefit from re-silvering. Movement is complete but very dirty and needs service and overhaul, one bell possibly replaced, back cock apron detached but we have it, one movement bracket replaced. Case sides and rear extremely faded and dry, rear door frets lacking and now blocked, some minor chips losses and old repairs. No winder or case key.
