3¾-inch silvered dial signed Victor Kullberg, Maker to the Admiralty, The Indian & Italian Governments, 105, Liverpool Rd., London N, 9084, fusee and chain movement with Earnshaw's spring detent escapement, free-sprung bi-metallic balance with helical spring, spotted plates, Admiralty mark, gimballed in a brass bowl and contained in a three-tier case with brass sunk handles, signed and numbered on an ivorine plaque

Dial in good condition. Movement in good condition and looks as though it would run but may benefit from a clean. Case in generally good condition, 2 minor cracks to the lid, old minor scuffs, marks and dents throughout. With numbered winder and case key. Together with envelope containing photocopies of documents relating to the chronometer and also HMS Warspite

9084 was made by Kullberg in 1916 and delivered to The Admiralty in July 1917. Records show that it was transferred aboard HMS Bicester, a new minesweeper launched in June that year, and remained with the ship until October 1919. It was returned to Kullberg for service and was moved around until joining HMS Warspite in January 1929 where it remained until 1933. A copy of the Greenwich ledger entries and various other documents relating to both the Bicester and Warspite are included with this chronometer.
