Catalogue Note
It is likely that these coronets were made by Padgett & Braham in 1936 for the forthcoming coronation. Not withstanding the abdication crisis of that year, George VI and Queen Elizabeth were crowned on 12 May 1937. It appears that these coronets were surplus stock as they remained with Padgett & Braham until the firm closed in 2007.
