- 8cm, 3 1/8 in diameter
baluster sides, the lid delicately engraved in early 18th century taste with birds and animals of the chase between festoons
Condition
The box is in excellent condition but it is probable that the lid was formerly inset either with an enamel plaque or with an inscribed plate.

Almost nothing is known about Christopher John Buckler except that he entered a mark as a smallworker from 18 Geat St Martin's Lane on 25 October 1804 and later moved to 3 Garden Place, opposite Turnstile, Lincoln's Inn Fields.
