Description

  • 135.5cm. high, 148cm. wide; 4ft. 5¼in., 4ft. 10¼in.
the rectangular plate below a cornice centred by a reeded tablet between a frieze of disc and foliate motifs, with spandrels and reserves of laurel festoons on either side, including a spurious modern sticker inked 'Buckingham Palace'

Condition

Generally good condition. Probably redecorated. Some chips to gilt decoration. There are characteristic cracks to the gesso decoration throughout and some areas of minor wear to the gilding. The plate is modern.
