  • 35cm. high, 20cm. wide; 1ft. 1¾ in., 8in.
each in the form of a figure holding a pair of candle holders with anthemion decorated sconces above canopies with spiral fluted stems, the cylindrical white marble pillars applied with anthemion mounts, on square grey marble plinths with acanthus leaf mounts, the canopies originally hung with glass drops

Condition

Very good overall condition with only very minor signs of light wear to the gilding and a few minor old marks, chips and scratches. Each figure is slightly loose on its stand. They are late 19th century in date but as they have been fully restored including being re-gilded and re-patinated this date has been omitted from the catalogue subject to our Glossary of Terms. Marble with minor rim chips. They probably originaly formed part of a clock garniture. A very decorative lot.
