Description

each shaped back with carved foliate detail, the arm supports with scroll and similar foliate decoration, the tapering faceted and acanthus carved legs with concealed castors

Condition

A very decorative pair of pleasing proportions. These have been re-upholstered recently, the coverings however would benefit from a clean. There are some losses to carved detail (notably part of one flower head on an arm support). There are areas of re-veneering. There are scuffs and chips throughout. Some legs maybe accurately carved replacements or have under gone workshop attention, but do not detract. These are in very good restored condition and it is lovely to see a pair.
