- height of vase 13 3/8 in.
- 34 cm
crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue.
Condition
Approximately 1/4 of the rim of one vase has an area of old restoration extending at least 3 inches downwards from the rim edge (somewhat visible in the catalogue illustration); the tail and the tips of the hummingbird on the same vase are restrored. The end of one wing of the hummingbird on the other vase has been chipped away and overpainted; the end of the parrot's tail is restored. There are some minor occasional chips to the applied leaves and blossom of both vases and the edge of the foot of each has been drilled to accomodate an electrical cord.
