The pull-out rolltop opening to reveal a felt writing surface and four small drawers. Distressed, formerly mounted with handles and escutcheons.
Condition
With general age and construction cracks, consistent with age. Some of the veneers are lifting, others have caved in and show evidence of restoration and retouching. Traces of old worm to the sides, losses to the veneers. With surface abrasions and scratches with a rather pronounced one on the fall front. The varnish has gone slightly opaque, however this can be reversed with restorations. A significant horizontal age crack to the left side, and some smaller one to the right side. Further losses of veneer to the legs, otherwise in sound condition.
