comprising: two large tureens and covers, four octagonal tureens and three covers, two circular tureens and covers, two small tureens, covers and fixed stands, a mustard pot and fixed stand, two 20-inch platters, two 15 1/2 -inch platters, two 13 1/4 -inch platters, two 11-inch platters, two shell-shaped dishes, two small shell-shaped dishes, two octagonal footed dishes, a salad bowl, three tazze, two sauceboats and stands, a pair of circular footed baskets, a lozenge-shaped centerbasket, a two-tiered cake stand, a sauce tureen and cover, fifty-seven dinner plates, twenty-four soup plates, thirty-three dessert plates, eighteen side plates, nine pudding dishes and twenty cups and seventeen covers. 226 pieces.
Condition
All in generally good condition apart from some varying degrees of wear to the gilding except:
-Handle of one circular tureen is broken away.
-Some scratching to enamel decoration of both 20-inch platters.
-Salad bowl has two 2 ½ in. fine hair cracks.
-One tazze has a 2 in. section of the rim broken out which issues a long forking haircrack.
-Please note that the two-tiered cake stand is printed with a Vista Alegre Portugal mark.
-All dinner plates have considerable wear to the gilt rim; nine plates with gilt rim almost completely worn away; two plates each have a starcrack to the center; one plate has a ½ in. chip issuing a 1 in. haircrack, one plate has a ½ in. flat chip to the upper rim, one plate has a 1 in. haircrack to the rim.
-One dessert plate has a ½ in. chip.
-All side plates have some wear to the gilt rim; four plates with gilt rim almost completely worn away; one plate has a 1 in. hair crack to rim; one plates has a 1/8 in. rim chip; one plate has a large starcrack to center.
-One pudding dish has a 2 ¼ in. haircrack to rim; one dish has a flat ¼ in. chip to underside of rim; one dish has a large starcrack to center.
