Catalogue Note
Taken from Joullain's engraving 'Habit de Capitain Italien' for Luigi Riccoboni's, Histoire du Theatre Italien, published in Paris in 1728. The model was created by Reinecke in August 1744 "ditto (figure) , Captain Italien, in Thon bosirt". The Captain is one of the rarest of Weissenfels series figures.
