woven with a river meandering through woodland, within a four-sided floral border with acanthus clasp corner motifs, on a brown ground
Condition
Lined with old hessian around edges, with old metal hooks for hanging. Recommed relined and Velcro added for hanging in future. Tapestry has various old repairs commensurate with age, and corner patches as visible in foliage in the top right corner. Some rewoven repairs, and other areas where splits and warp threads visible. Faded colours overall. Stable condition. Decorative piece.
