  • Approximately: 278cm. high, 334cm. wide; 9ft. 1in., 10ft. 11in.
worked in polychrome threads with exuberant foliate, floral and grotesqu motifs, against a later brown needlework ground, with a narrow scrolling foliate border

Condition

This panel has a linen backing. Hoops are attached across the top. Recommend Velcro attached for future hanging purposes. Some canvas showing in areas, barely noticeable. Some silk thread loss, example to embroidered floral motifs. The brown tent stich needlework ground has been largely reworked. Lozenge shaped area to brown ground in lower section and area of similarly differing coloured ground, of semi-circular shape along lower edge. Stiffness to stitching in some areas.This is a very decorative panel of striking design and versatile size.
