Fomerly The Property of of the Late The Right Honourable The Viscount Leverhulme, K.G., lot 227. The original provenance is described as `Presumably William 1st Viscount Leverhulme; Philip Lever 3rd Viscount Leverhulme standing in the Music Room, photographed 1983'.
Condition
Generally of tidy appearance and in good showroom condition. Closer inspection shows typical old marks and wear to the cabinet commensurate with age. Some old losses of lacquer to the top and some rubbing of lacquer details. One hinge is loose on the attachment to the right side. Interior good though reverse of the right door with a vertical line of old liquid spillage. The upper right corner of this interior door has a section of lifting lacquer with a split and loss of gilt. The stand with very bright re-gilding and in good condition. There are some typical old separation and some wear on the feet this lot is attractive accommodating size.
