Description
- each: 60.5cm. high; 1ft.11¾in.
the three scrolled candlearms cast with oak leaves with a foliate cast drip-pan and nozzle, on a fluted truncated columnar plinth base with a beaded and foliate cast border, now on later gilt-bronze bun feet, formerly fitted for electricity
Condition
Gilding more golden and less green and marble slightly creamier in colour and more attractive than in the photograph. The piece is slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. The quality of the gilt-bronze casting is good. Some very miniscule chips to the marble. Some very minor resoldering where top of one of the swags joins the satyr mask on both. The gilt-bronze collar on the foot of one is loose but can easily be refixed. Minor section of infill to the top on the plinth of one. The socle of one has been restored and on the other it is probably a replacement socle as it is a different marble and different feel. One leaf on one candlearm on one is snapped off and on the other a leaf is missing from the top of the vase, but this is not too noticeable. An attractive model in overall good condition.
