Description

  • 202cm. high, 127cm. wide; 6ft. 7½in., 4ft. 2in.
each with a rectangular bevelled edge plate, the marginal plates with etched decoration and mounted with moulded glass flower head decoration

Condition

These mirrors are in generally very good condition with little sign of damage or losses. However there are a few missing or loose "leaves" and some chips to the moulded decoration. One of the large leaves to the crest of one mirror has been repaired. The silver paper covered wood backing in some places is rubbed - although this wear does not detract. Each mirror, in the lower left proper margin, has some typical damage - on one there is a crack and on the other a small chip. Two flower heads on one mirror in this area are secured by tape. The plates on each have areas of distress although this wear does not destort the reflection. The mirrors have been cleaned and are a very decorative and dramatic lot.
