Description

of square tapered shape, the burl nanmu body with two registers of brass tubular molding on the exterior and two pairs of heavy brass bail handles, the interior lined with pewter, set upon a hardwood stand with hoof feet on a square stretcher base (2)

Condition

The cover of the ice chest is missing. One stretcher of the stand is detached. There are some splits fo the burl wood, expected for this type of wood. There are several losses and patches which have been restored. The stand of later date.
