Description

the thinly potted dish applied overall with an iridescent deep-green glaze, the exterior incised with the bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems'), supported on a short foot, the white-glazed base with the six-character seal mark

Condition

There is a 1/2 inch hairline extending from the rim to the body, visible on both interior and exterior (visible at approximately 7 o'clock in relation to the mark on the underside). There is another 1 1/2 long hairline at approximately 9 o'clock, also extending from the rim towards the foot, running into a surface glaze scratch on the interior. Light overall scratching to the interior, with very light pinpricks/iron spots beneath the glaze. In otherwise good condition overall. Updated 2 September 2009
