Description

finely potted, the globular body painted with a lush mountainous landscape, with mist enshrouded high peaks, winding pine trees, a dramatic waterfall cascading to a lake, a deer and her fawn wander about, while two fishermen in a boat search the open water, a lone figure watches from a promontory, another figure in a pavilion, the elegant high neck glazed white, apocryphal blue-enameled Qianlong four-character mark in a square to the base

Provenance

Collection of Angèle Maggi-Spaulding (1924-2005).

Condition

The vase is in overall good condition. There are several scattered pin prick imperfections to the glaze on the base. The colours are of a more vibrant tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
