Description
the compressed globular body encircled at the shoulder by a raised ring, surmounted by a high neck with flaring rim, flanked on each side by zoomorphic handles, covered overall in an even pale-blue glaze, inscribed to the base with a four-character seal mark in underglaze-blue
Condition
The underside of the foot and foot rim is partially sprayed with lacquer to obscure a later etched number (a photograph of the piece before the sprayed lacquer is available upon request). There is a small iron-spot beneath the glaze beside one handle. In otherwise good overall condition.
