Description

the expansive interior with flared sides painted in underglaze-blue, depicting a group of pine trees among a mountain and river landscape, at the foreground a lone figure contemplates the landscape from a bridge, the reverse with clusters of bamboo

Condition

There is a 4 1/2 inch crack extending from the rim towards the foot. The rim with numerous 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch chips and frits, some of which have been polished along approximately1/3 of the rim, and others filled. The interior with scattered minor kiln grit. On the footrim at 12 o'clock there is a small area where it appears to have been started to be drilled for suspension. The body is not as white as the catalogue image suggests.
