Description
each of U-shape, the exterior painted with four dragon medallions, each dragon displaying distinct colors of either green enamel, iron-red, aubergine enamel or yellow enamel, interspersed with two registers of scrolling cloud motifs, the interior well painted in underglaze-blue with an archaistic scrolling dragon pursuing a scrolling lotus (2)
Condition
One bowl with two hairline cracks on the foot, one approximately 1/2 inch, the other one, across from it, very faint and approximately 1/4 inch. A small splash of pale aubergine enamel on the outside rim, and flecks of green enamel to the interior, both barely noticeable. Both bowls have minor fine scratches to the interior and scattered pinpricks. The other bowl has a small area of discoloration to the top of the interior rim. Both bowls have scattered pinpricks. Otherwise both in good condition.
The dragons and colours vary slightly by bowl.
