Description
the flared and steep bowl with rounded sides, freely carved to the interior with a lotus sprig on one side, the other side carved with a seven-character inscription, with incised chrysanthemum on the exterior, supported on a straight and finely pared foot revealing the gray body, applied overall with an olive-green glaze pooling to a deeper color in the recesses
Condition
There is an inch and a quarter shallow v-shaped area of restoration to the rim edge above the last character of the inscription. There is also a small 3/8 inch round area of restoration to the interior towards the foot, probably covering fritting or flaking. There is some light scratching on the interior and some minor dark pooling of the glaze below the rim on the exterior
