Description

the shallow dish with wide curved hexalobed sides and an everted mouth, the interior well carved with a lotus and pod spray, surrounded by finely combed 'mallow' petals, the exterior with carved wave-like patterns articulating the distinct petals, covered overall with a pale-blue glaze pooling in the recesses of the carving, all supported on a low finely pared foot rim, the base unglazed revealing the pale body

Condition

Overall good condition. There is a small 3/8 inch area of grittiness and burst air bubbles on the rim edge, and a small grayish iron spot on the upper surface approx an inch and a quarter in from the rim.
